Educational Enrichment

Why are Youth a key focus of our work here at The Wild Edge?
A 2023 Article by People for Education 59% of Ontario students stated that the pandemic has made them feel depressed about the future. There has been a 30% increase in emergency room visits due to self harm. Anxiety, depression and social phobia is steadily rising, especially for youth 15-24.
Through guided, sensory experiences we open the door to exploration with Nature that boost physical health, improves mental wellbeing and self esteem. In as little as 1 hour, we have witnesses amazing changes! Our intention is to help create connections that provide support and guidance for a life time.
We have created Nature Immersion programming specifically for Youth in Secondary and Post-secondary education with the intention to support mental health and empower Youth to find their natural resilience, inspire creativity and support themselves daily through nature therapy.
